About Emerald Lotus

 

Hi, I’m Reid (she/her) and I own Emerald Lotus. 

Emerald Lotus began as a blog name for me as I decided to share my spiritual journey back in 2016. Since then Emerald Lotus has simultaneously become more ‘me’ and somehow more an entity outside of myself.

Why Emerald Lotus?  The name Emerald Lotus came easily and has stuck with me for the past 9 years.  Although sometimes I add ‘divination’ or ‘mystic’ at the end to solidify what we’re up to here, Emerald Lotus has always rung true.

A woman in a psychic workshop with me in 2015 told me I’d start a brand with the color Emerald in my logo.  That same day I was visited in meditation by Archangel Raphael - who I found out after was associated with the color Emerald.

The final push to call it Emerald came when I learned about the Emerald Tablets. Perhaps most well known for its aphorism: "As above, so below.” Written through a combination of the Greek god Hermes and the Egyptian god Thoth, the Emerald Tablets are associated with the pursuit of self-discovery, enlightenment, and understanding universal truths - much like what I want Emerald Lotus to embody and explore.

Lotus came from my love of flowers. I worked as an apprentice in a flower shop for a few years and have since been in love with plants and nature. The lotus flower has a rich spiritual history, symbolizing rebirth, purity, and enlightenment across cultures, from ancient Egypt's sacred rituals to Eastern traditions of spiritual awakening.

It seemed to make sense together:
